Young Horse Raising
Raising Services
We are already fully booked for 2026.
After years of raising young horses for Hilltop Farm’s successful program, Christa Baxter and Natalie DiBerardinis have launched their own: Sonder Hill Raising & Mare Management, based in Conestoga, Pennsylvania. Same experienced hands and proven approach, in a new home.
Many breeders and owners simply can’t offer the setting a young sport horse prospect needs during the growing years. Traditional boarding barns, or pastures without other youngsters, rarely provide the right environment for healthy development.
At Sonder Hill, young horses are raised in small herds, grouped by age and gender. They learn herd manners that stay with them for life, and growing up on rolling hills builds the strength and athleticism that give them a solid foundation. Every horse in our fields gets daily care and attention. Grooming and handling lessons are part of each youngster’s education, so they’re confident, trusting, and ready to start under saddle when the time comes.
Our experienced team keeps a watchful eye on every horse’s health and development, from weanling to young adult.
